Ordered a coffee yesterday and a Brownie to go. Started driving off bit into the Brownie and it was so hard it broke a tooth. Went in this am handed them the Brownie to at least get a replacement fresh one and the Woman said she had to check with the manager. Really great customer service there. Finally she comes back out reaches down and grabs another brown brick out of the cabinet which too was hard as a rock.
Customer service is leaking, quality of products are like old food that's been left in freezers to long. Owner needs to pay closer attention to fresh products. They lost a customer today. I will decide what to do about my tooth after visiting the dentist...
We stop by on occasion for a slice of pie and coffee if we are in the area running errands and have usually enjoyed the pie. This time, we stopped for lunch and decided to split a sandwich, a cup of soup each, a drink and we were going to share a slice of pie (we hadn't decided on the flavor so we were going to order it separately). The person rang up the pastrami on rye with Swiss as $19.99. I asked if this was correct and she said yes but you could just each get the meal which includes half a sand, cup of soup and slice of pie for $16.99 each.
Long story short, lunch was $40 with tip. For a half sand and cup of soup with pie. And the sandwich was a few slices of meat, nothing spectacular. If we ever stop here again, it surely won't be for a lousy lunch.
I bought an apple pie it was alright, not the best I've had. Usually they are amazing. I was disappointed first because they wouldn't let me buy the rhubarb mixed fruit pie that was in the display case and second the apple pie was a little burnt. Hopefully this was a one time incident and the quality isn't declining.
Best pies in the Denver metro area. Delicious sandwiches/soups and other sweet treats are also available. I would highly recommend anyone try this place. You won't be disappointed.
I raved about your pie shop until last week. I drove there from Westminster just to buy a slice of lemon meringue pie for myself and a friend. First, the young man at the counter said you were out. Then a young woman double checked the fridge and found half a pie left. She cut a piece and put it in a bag while I looked at buying a slice of chocolate mousse pie you had. I was heartbroken when I got home and looked at these pieces of pie. So pathetic and not appealing. I’ve purchased a slice before and the lemon meringue was beautiful! Featured the stiff high beauty of the merengue. This did not. I had egg on my face when my guest looked at your slices of pie. Sigh
Great little independent pie shop and cafe. We tried the lemon meringue, blueberry cheese pie and NY cheesecake. Everything was great especially the lemon meringue which was perfectly tart and not overly sweet. They also have a breakfast menu, savory pot pies, sandwiches, cookies, pastries, ice cream and good coffee. This is a hidden gem in Lakewood and apparently has been around for 30 years.
Really, really good tasting pies... Docking a star because I had a hair in mine... I get it, it happens... Wear a hair net?
I have been coming hear for years since I was a child pies are always great and service is also great. I have comment for Yolanda review if you really want to impress your friend make your own pie. If not stop sending nasty reviews
